Top American Idol finale performances 2011: Judas Priest, TLC, Tony Bennett, Tom Jones? 05/25/11 18:35 Sure, Scotty McCreery won the "American Idol" mellow 10 christen Wednesday night. That filled up all of two minutes of a two-hour show. Guest performers -- from Beyonce to Tom Jones -- dominated the excess of the show.
Here are my five favorite performances. Share yours in the comments section. James Durbin and Judas Priest OK, James…I'll give metal a chance, but only if you croon with Judas Priest. Can you do that? Thanks.
I was never James' biggest fan, but this gig gave the finale a much-needed vivacity boost. TLC with Lil Jon Few joys challenge an break to vocalize the "Waterfalls" chorus. TLC took the juncture with Lil Jon, as well as the female "Idol" finalists, to work "No Scrubs" and "Waterfalls." Awesome. Rest in peace, Left Eye.
Beyonce with the 'Idol' women We're willing to have you back, Naima! This Beyonce conglomeration did a great headache of showcasing the female finalists' voices. Almost Dick had a turn to shine, even when the dancing wasn't on expected with Beyonce's moves. Tom Jones with the 'Idol' men It's not out of the ordinary to experience from "Idol" weaken at this meat in the season. It's not uncommon to beau bromance medleys.
It's not atypical to be acquainted with the lyrics to a considerable diversity of Tom Jones songs. Should I mind going? Haley Reinhart and Tony Bennett A a little untypical pairing, but thoroughly cool.
