Kernel Classic Team Camp of Champs charming portion in Mitchell News.

Seventy-two volleyball teams took over four Mitchell facilities for the Kernel Classic Team Camp of Champs, which began Wednesday matutinal and runs through this evening. The camp, which started at 10 a.m. Wednesday, has teams competing at Mitchell High School, Mitchell Middle School, Mitchell Christian School and at the Christen Wellness Center on the campus of Dakota Wesleyan University.



The annual camp, which MHS volleyball motor coach Deb Thill said has been affluent on for at least 15 years, concludes with today’s action. Matches begin at 9 a.m. today and should go until about 5 p.m. "The win year of this camp, we had 24 teams and each year since then we’ve been common up and up," Thill said.






"It’s most of the time around 70 and form year we had 80. That was our most ever." All 72 teams are scheduled to have fun seven matches. For the camp, a agree consists of two sets to 25.



Nine pools - of eight teams each - will dominion champions after today’s action. Four Mitchell teams are interest of the camp, which is for grades 9-12 and has a conflict for ‘AA’, ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ teams. The Kernel Classic Team Camp of Champs is the largest group camp-ground Mitchell teams serve during the summer, Thill said. MHS volleyball players are headed to a effeminate hosted by Briar Cliff University in Sioux City (Iowa) next week and they will chaperone another line-up ostentatious in August. The Little Kernel Volleyball Camp is set for Aug. 8 and Thill said about 40 kids are currently signed up.
