Tectonic Plates. Aggies appear intelligent to SEC International news.

Websites are exploding Friday matinal with it all but a done deal that Texas A&M will be leaving the fine Big 12 Conference for the dog-eat-dog set of the Southeastern Conference. It could officially happen as soon as Aug. 22 when the A&M Board of Regents meet. And the Aggies could get themselves in the SEC as soon as 2012. It's yearn been a boatswain's pipe fancy for Aggie fans to associate the SEC and disconnect themselves from the trace of big brother, the University of Texas.

The catalyst, or excuse, for this manoeuvre is UT's Longhorn Network, the $300 million partnership between ESPN and Texas. No one in the Big 12 is relaxing with this and the economic godsend that Texas will receive, but for the tender time, it seems more mode than substance. But the SEC outwardly would mad about to get a better hold into the big Texas markets, and A&M, with its groupie contemptible and facilities, seems as if a good fit.

The Big 12 won't outlast as a nine-team conference. A&M will survive, but will it advance in the best football congress in the country. The Aggies are 0-6 in their remain six games against SEC foes.

There's not a Baylor, Kansas or Iowa State in the SEC. A&M will have set opponents that comprise Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, LSU, Ole Miss and Mississippi State, addition some out-of-division opponents, depending on the year, that could count Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina. And the Aggies still want to amass that non-conference plot with Texas?
